Stumbled upon this gem in buffalo while we were driving through and heading to Niagra Falls. Couldn't be happier that we did! Walked in and was seated right away! Ordered a basic breakfast of eggs, potatoes, and bacon. But let me tell you something, it was absolutely amazing! Eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were on point! As we sat and enjoyed our breakfast the owner came by to chat. We invited her to sit with us and we had such a great conversation. She even gave us directions to Niagra Falls. As we started finishing up she came back with some fresh baked Greek cookies. They were so flavorful! After we ate we discovered that the restaurant was featured on DDD. The hospitality in this restaurant was phenomenal and it just made our experience even better. If you are in the Buffalo area and looking for breakfast and amazing service then look no further! Sophia's comes highly recommend! 100% recommend
Apple cider mimosa is bomb. Always great food, amazing service, people are friendly and reasonable wait tome both for food and seating. $10 for overly sweet hot cocoa powder mix might be an overkill although it looked real cute. Wish it was more cocoa-ry instead of sugary. Otherwise, will keep coming back.
This place appeared on Google as a nice mom-pop restaurant. First time in Buffalo and first place for food with my brother. Food: the food was really good, I had the French toast, house potatoes, and half (sausage/bacon). I wasn't thinking when I ordered the breakfast meats and it came with 2 links and 2 stripe of bacon. For the house potatoes, didn't realize that we would have to pay extra for the mix of peppers, onions, etc or I would have just got the potatoes plain. The French toast was good. A bit pricey but was good. One thing to add, because of some miscommunication in the kitchen, I was given a small plate with extra bacon so I'm very thankful for that (I ate that first so no pic) 7.3/10 Service: great service. I think it was shift change for our table. Started off with one server then ended up with a different one. But service was still cool. Everyone was super polite. 10/10 Atmosphere: this was had some awesome collectors items with pictures on the walls and sports memorabilia (boxing gloves, etc). My brother noticed that Guy from DDD has been there. Super cool place. 10/10. Overall experience was really cool. Thankful we was able to have the first food place experience here.
Went there on a busy Saturday morning and waited about 20 minutes for a table. Once we got set our waitress was very attentive and accommodating. Very friendly! Our food came out quickly. Everything was amazingly delicious, fresh and hot. The coffee was fire! Definitely worth the wait!. 10 of 10 recommend!
This place is a gem in the city! So glad my cousin put me on! Had to be in the Buffalo area 2 wknds in a row and each time we found ourselves here! Can’t brag on this spot enough. The service immaculate! Food immaculate! Sunrise mimosas immaculate!
This might have been the best meal I had on our vacation. The waiter was great. We told him we were tourists and he pointed out things we might like on the menu. I had the giambotta (Italian sausage, potatoes, eggs, sweet & hot peppers, onions, garlic). Fantastic. My wife had poached eggs (she was ecstatic), bacon, and home fries. After a few minutes a different waiter brought her a plate with more home fries. When our waiter came back, we said we were confused. Why were we brought more home fries. He said her plate was a little crowded and she didn't get the serving she should have, so they brought more! As we were leaving we talked to another couple about their breakfast. She had souvlaki chicken with her meal and it looked delicious. We highly recommend eating here.
Excellent place to eat breakfast. You can't go wrong. Service was great. Everyone we had contact with was super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. Some of the best home fries I have had. French toast was great. The bread was super thick and tasty. Bacon was crispy but not too done. Eggs were soft and fluffy. Overall nothing I can complain about.
Sophia’s restaurant is hands down the best brunch spot I’ve tried during my trip to the U.S.! The service was absolutely flawless – friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. Every detail made me feel like a valued guest. The food was excellent and offered great value for money. Portions were generous, flavors were spot on, and everything was served fresh and beautifully prepared. It’s rare to find a place that combines quality and affordability so well. If you’re in Buffalo and looking for a brunch place that delivers both top-notch service and an amazing meal, Sophia’s is the place to go. Highly recommended!
